Elicit Theatre Company was founded in Enfield by Sharron Spice — an actress, writer, director, producer and author whose work spans theatre, film and commercials. Sharron is also a long-standing campaigner against domestic and youth violence, and a columnist for The Guardian.

From a single touring production we have grown into an ensemble that has played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Minack Theatre in Cornwall and on London's fringe stages. Our work draws on lived experience — austerity, identity, family, displacement, and joy — and we make new plays with the people whose lives they describe.

We are proudly independent and self-funded. Every production is a labour of love, made by a small ensemble who care deeply about the stories they tell.
